Keith Ellison is a pathological liar and a fraud.

A new attack ad from Keith Ellison’s allies distorts my distinguished legal record and attacks me for positions I have never taken. Let’s set the record straight.

The ad claims I have defended health care companies.

I spent the majority of my legal career representing individuals and small businesses in cases against large corporations. In less than a handful of cases, I represented health care companies — but as plaintiffs pursuing entities accused of defrauding them. I have never represented health care companies accused of wrongdoing.

The ad also claims I support cutting Medicare and the Affordable Care Act. I have never said any such thing.

Keith Ellison’s allies would rather distort my record than defend Ellison’s own. After years of fraud and failed accountability on his watch, they are resorting to misleading attacks instead of answering for his record as Attorney General.

Minnesotans deserve better.

It’s time to restore accountability and integrity to the Attorney General’s Office.
