Minnesota Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors - COPS Welcome to the Minnesota Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors .(MN C.O.P.S.) page. C.O.P.S. Kids" counseling reimbursement program, the "C.O.P.S.

programs for survivors include the National Police Survivors' Conference held each May during National Police Week. Scholarships and peer-support at the national, state, and local levels, "C.O.P.S. Kids" Summer Camp, "C.O.P.S. Teens" outward Bound experience for young adults, special retreats for spouses, parents, siblings, adult children, fiances/significant others, in-laws, other family members and affected co-workers. additional trial and parole support, and other assistance programs.

Corporal Foss had served with the Minnesota State Patrol for 15 years. He is survived by his wife, 2-year-old daughter, and 5-year-old son.

The section of roadway where Corporal Foss was struck was renamed the State Trooper Theodore 'Ted' Foss Memorial Highway. Shortly thereafter the Minnesota Legislature passed the Ted Foss Move Over Law which requires vehicles to move to the middle or far lane when passing an emergency or construction vehicle stopped on the roadway.
