📢 YOU’RE INVITED: Groundbreaking Ceremony for Fire Station 22

Please join the St. Pete Beach City Commission, elected officials, City leadership, and St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue as we celebrate a significant milestone in the future of public safety in our community: the groundbreaking of the new Fire Station 22.

The new facility will provide a modern, resilient, and purpose-built home for our firefighters and emergency response operations, strengthening the City’s ability to serve Pass-A-Grille and surrounding communities today and for generations to come.

This groundbreaking marks the beginning of an important new chapter for Fire Station 22 and represents the City’s continued commitment to investing in critical infrastructure, enhancing emergency response capabilities, and building a stronger, more resilient St. Pete Beach.

🚧 Wastewater Project: Gulf Boulevard Lane Closures

This week, the City’s contractor for the Wastewater Cleaning and Inspection Project will be working along Gulf Boulevard from 55th Avenue southward, in both the northbound and southbound lanes.

Work will take place along either side of Gulf Boulevard, depending on the location of the work. Lane closures will be in place as crews work, so drivers should expect possible traffic delays and use caution when traveling through the area.

🚗 Please slow down, follow posted traffic control, and allow extra time when traveling along Gulf Boulevard.

Thank you for your patience as this important maintenance work continues throughout the City.

The Pinellas County Property Appraiser’s Office will host its annual “Understanding Your TRIM Notice” public education session TODAY Thursday, August 27 at noon. The session will explain Florida’s property assessment process, including how storm damage and subsequent repairs can affect your assessed value and taxes.

The session will also cover how the Save Our Homes assessment limitation and Florida’s calamity provisions apply to storm-damaged properties.

Our final Budget Road Show event is TONIGHT night, Wednesday August 26th, at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Pete Beach Public Library. We encourage residents to join us to learn more about the City’s budget, ask questions, and share their perspective on the potential millage rate for the coming fiscal year.
