🏠 Mutual Aid – Residential Structure Fire

This afternoon, Central County Fire & Rescue assisted the St. Charles City Fire Department at a residential structure fire in the Villages at Standfort Farm.

Crews encountered a two-story residence with heavy fire involving the garage and extending into the attic. CCFR personnel worked alongside St. Charles City firefighters and other responding agencies.

The attached photo captures crews operating an aerial master stream as firefighters worked to bring the fire under control.

We’re proud to work alongside our neighboring departments when additional resources are needed. Incidents like this demonstrate the importance of cooperation between fire agencies throughout our community.

πŸš’ Celebrating 40 Years of Service – Captain Tim Mosher πŸš’

Central County Fire & Rescue proudly announces the retirement of Captain Tim Mosher, following more than 40 years of dedicated service to our community.

Captain Mosher began his fire service career on May 14, 1986, as a volunteer with the St. Charles County Fire Protection District. Two years later, he was hired as a firefighter on the paid-day crew while continuing to serve as a volunteer.

Throughout his career, Tim took on increasing responsibilities and was eventually promoted to Education Officer for the St. Charles County Fire Protection District, a position he held until the department's consolidation in 1998.

For four decades, Captain Mosher has dedicated himself to the fire service, his fellow firefighters, and the communities we serve. His commitment and years of service have been part of the history that helped shape Central County Fire & Rescue into the department it is today.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Administration, and the brothers and sisters of the Professional Firefighters of Central County Fire & Rescue, we congratulate Captain Mosher on an outstanding career and wish him nothing but the best as he begins this well-earned next chapter.

Congratulations on your retirement, Captain Mosher, and thank you for more than 40 years of dedicated service! πŸ‘πŸš’

πŸ•―οΈ Candle Safety Starts with Smart Habits

Candles can create a warm atmosphere, but they also pose a serious fire risk if they're not used safely.

Remember these important safety tips:
πŸ›οΈ Don't use lit candles in bedrooms, bathrooms, or other sleeping areas.
πŸšͺ Blow out candles every time you leave a room or leave your home.
😴 Always extinguish candles before going to bed.

A candle should never be left burning unattended. Taking a few seconds to blow it out can help prevent a devastating fire.

Stay safe and protect what matters most.
