Last night, I was nominated and elected Vice President of Political Action for Stonewall Democrats of Pinellas County . I’m honored to serve alongside our new leadership team: President Laura lee , Secretary Blane Lawson, and Treasurer Joe Carp.

Stonewall Democrats of Pinellas County is a 20+ year organization dedicated to advancing equal rights for all people, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. As a Democratic organization, we work in partnership with the Democratic Party to support fair-minded Democratic leaders and candidates who align with our mission.

Our strength comes from Transgender, Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Queer+, and allied Democrats across Pinellas County working together to:

-Stimulate active engagement in political and governmental affairs.

-Educate the LGBTQ+ community on issues that directly impact our lives.

-Support and elect Democratic candidates committed to defeating homophobia and prejudice at the local, state, and national levels.

-Elect qualified, openly LGBTQ+ individuals to public office.

-Register voters who support equality and justice.

Today, I had the esteemed pleasure of attending the OutCoast: Explore LGBTQ Florida first annual LGBTQ Tourism Convention. We started the afternoon with a panel discussion on the value of LGBTQ+ bars, venues, and events on tourism that was moderated by Ryan Williams-Jent with David Fischer, Byron Anthony Green-Calisch and more as panelists. After the panel, keynote speaker Kevin Finke led a discussion on the "Belonging Journey" for LGBTQ+ employees and managers in the workplace. Then, St. Pete Pride was awarded the Flamboyance awards for Best LGBTQ+ Event of the Year.
A huge thank you to Rachel E Covello for organizing such an educational, insightful, and fun convention that brings together and celebrates the best in LGBTQ+ hospitality and tourism in the State of Florida. Girl, you killed it, and we can't wait for next year. 🌹🌹👏👏🏳️‍🌈.
