I am Seminole local, born and raised with my sister Kim by Mike and Diane Barber. My parents owned and operated ‘Barbers’ Auto Body’ from 1972 to 2000. I have been married to my wife Jennifer for 26 years. Together, we have two daughters, Liberty, a Senior at Florida Gulf Coast University and Promise, a Freshman at St. Petersburg College.
Before my return to Seminole, I served honorably for 20 years as a Helicopter Crew Chief and Rescue Swimmer in the Navy. I flew and operated in the SH-60F/H, MH60R and MH60S helicopters and logged well over 3000 flight hours. I've served in many helicopter squadrons including, HS-5, VX-1, HS-11 HSM-40 and HSM-37 and aboard many Naval ships including, USS Eisenhower CVN 69, USS Kennedy CV 67, USS Enterprise CVN 65, to name just a few. I have been stationed at Naval Station Coronado, Naval Station Jacksonville, Naval Station Patuxent River, Naval Station Mayport and Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
Now, I am the owner and lead instructor of Revive In Time CPR LLC which was established here in Seminole in 2018.
“I proudly served my country, and now I look forward to proudly serving my community.”
