We offer gap services and empowerment programs for low to moderate income households who have experienced a recent financial trauma and are at risk for homelessness in Pinellas County. Daystar Life fights hunger, poverty, and hopelessness by providing the necessities of life to our neighbors in need. It's our farm's 7th birthday! 🥳🎈🌱

Started on Memorial Day weekend in 2019 by volunteer and namesake Robin Clemmons, our organic food pantry farm was created to help increase access to fresh, nutritious food right here in our community.

7 years later, the farm has now produced 19,644 lbs of organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs for neighbors experiencing food insecurity… and we’re SO close to 20,000 lbs grown! 🥬🍅🌶️

Today, we grow 65 different varieties using a completely organic, closed-loop system with no chemicals or pesticides. But the farm is about more than food. It’s also a place where kids and adults can learn how food grows, connect with nature, and try fresh produce they may have never experienced before.

And of course, none of this happens without our amazing garden volunteers, who pour so much time, energy, and love into this space every single week.

On Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We’re also grateful for the opportunity to support veterans and military families in our community through groceries, resources, financial assistance, and compassionate care during difficult seasons of their lives.

We’ve been feeling the love all month long 🤗💕

As we move through May, we want to thank some awesome community partners and neighbors who have shown up for us.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Tierra Verde for their generous donation and for continuing to volunteer with us each month. Your time, effort, and generosity makes a real impact!

Thank you to Justin Fackler from Sustainable Turf for donating much-needed garden tools for our Food Pantry Farm. These tools will make a huge difference for our garden crew and the work happening on the farm each day.

Thank you to our neighbors at Bama Seafood for volunteering with us by making sandwiches, helping in the pantry, and lending a hand in the garden.

And thank you to KPMG for bringing a volunteer group to spend time serving alongside our team and supporting our neighbors.

We truly could not do this work without a community that cares the way ours does. Thank you all for being part of it 🩵

Sometimes the biggest hearts come in the smallest humans 🍋💕

These two sweet girls set up their own lemonade stand and raised $51 all on their own… then chose to donate every dollar to us because they wanted help people in thier community. 🥹

Their kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others at such a young age is such a beautiful reminder that you’re never too small to make a big difference!

We were so touched by their kindness, that we honored them with a “Daystar Super Star” appreciation certificate to celebrate their amazing hearts. ⭐
