The 641st Regional Support Group Headquarters and Headquarters Company conducted a change of command ceremony on Jan. 24 at St. Petersburg, . Capt. Brittany Shorter's time as commander came to an end, and Capt. Colten Juliana assumed command.

"I have loved every minute of it! All the pranks, holiday festivities, playing beach volleyball, helicopter rides, traveling to exciting Wisconsin, and the land down under in Australia," said Shorter.

The event provided battalion and company command teams an opportunity to interact with the brigade commander and brigade staff to enhance future training, develop leaders, build sustainable readiness, and prepare for decisive action.

The Soldiers took time out of their busy schedules to explain to battalion and company command teams how First Army can assist units with training and readiness.

Soldiers of the 196th Transportation Company, a Contingency Readiness Force unit, executed a Mass Medical Event on 6 December 2025 during Battle Assembly to strengthen medical readiness and emergency response capability.

Brigade Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph Grasso visited the Soldiers during battlefield circulation to observe training, recognize progress, and engage with the formation as they continue developing core CRF skills.

“It matters that leaders show up,” said Grasso. “Being present reinforces confidence in the mission and in the Soldiers who make it possible.”

The 641st Regional Support Group, commander, Col. Kelly Johnson met with Soldiers assigned to the 873rd Quartermaster Company, on Dec. 13 in Lake Park, . Johnson discussed preparations for Operation Sentinel Justice, a large scale U.S. Army training exercise planned for summer 2026, focusing on modern sustainment and operating in contested environments. Johnson also awarded the following Soldiers with coins for excellence:

The 641st Regional Support Group, commander, Col. Kelly Johnson is spending time with Soldiers in the 442nd Human Resources Company (3rd and 4th platoons) during Battle Assembly Weekend in , Florida! On Dec. 13 he took an Army Fitness Test and discussed preparations for their upcoming overseas mission.

On 7 December 2025, during Battle Assembly weekend, the 993rd Transportation Company conducted a Change of Responsibility ceremony welcoming 1st Sgt. Alphaeus Anthony as the company’s senior enlisted leader and recognizing the service of outgoing 1st Sgt. Heriberto Garcia Lopez. Brigade Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph Grasso and Battalion Command Sgt. Maj. Michelle Hill joined the unit to engage with Soldiers and discuss upcoming missions as the 993rd prepares to operate as a Combat Ready Force Element and participate in Operation Sentinel Justice during this year’s annual training. During Battle Assembly, Sgt. Tabitha Taylor was presented a coin in recognition of her outstanding efforts to increase personnel readiness and support mission success.
