ESOL students from Clearview Adult Education Center at Feeding Pinellas completed a lesson on the first day of school following our PCS theme of "When We Dream Big." They started with a science lesson about the stages of a butterfly, read interesting facts about butterflies, moved into a discussion of how dreams can develop like butterflies, then created their own butterfly that included their dreams for their family/education/life. Their teacher, Patricia Mesa, then added to the lesson how to turn dreams into goals and pursue them. Students really enjoyed the lesson and the opportunity to create their dream wall. They will be able to see it each time they attend class and be reminded to stay focused on their goal.
