Thank You, Major General and Mrs. Beck

At our August 12 City Council meeting, we had the honor of recognizing Major General Christopher Beck and his wife, Sally, and thanking them for the tremendous impact they have made on the City of St. Robert and our entire community.

Major General Beck was presented with the Patron of St. Robert Award, one of our City's special recognitions for those whose service and contributions have left a lasting impact on St. Robert. Sally was presented with a City of St. Robert blanket as a small token of our appreciation for the friendship, support, and commitment she has shown our community throughout their time here.

For the past three years, the Beck family has truly become part of our community. There is something especially fitting about General Beck's Army journey, bringing him back to Fort Leonard Wood, where he once served as a young lieutenant, to ultimately conclude his remarkable military career as a Major General and Commanding General of MSCoE & Fort Leonard Wood.

As they begin retirement and a well-earned next chapter filled with family and, hopefully, plenty of time with their grandchildren, we wish them nothing but happiness and success.

On behalf of myself, the St. Robert Board of Aldermen, our City staff, and the entire City of St. Robert, thank you, General and Sally Beck, for your service to our nation, your friendship, and everything you have done for our community.

You will always have a home and friends here in St. Robert. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Proud to be out here this morning with members of the St. Robert Fire Department supporting the 23rd Annual Backpack Extravaganza at the Waynesville High School parking lot!

A special thank you to Still Useable Ministries Church in St. Robert for organizing this wonderful community event. There are lots of families and kids enjoying backpacks, school supplies, snow cones, hot dogs, activities, and plenty of fun as everyone gets ready for another school year.

The City of St. Robert is proud to support events like this that bring our community together and help our students start the school year off right.

Last night, I was proud to join members of the City of St. Robert Board of Aldermen and city staff at the Committee of Fifty Hail and Farewell as we honored Major General Christopher Beck and Sally Beck.

It was a wonderful evening recognizing their service to our nation, Fort Leonard Wood, and the greater community. The City of St. Robert was well represented as we came together with our community partners to wish the Beck family all the best in their next chapter.

Thank you, General and Mrs. Beck, for your leadership, friendship, and commitment to our community. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Another great episode of Inside St. Robert!

This time weโ€™re taking you inside our Public Works Garage to meet Chris Dumas, the one-man operation responsible for helping keep our Cityโ€™s vehicles and equipment running.

Chris is another great example of the hardworking people behind the scenes who keep St. Robert moving every day. Great job, Chris, and another outstanding video by our intern, Caden Vaughn! ๐Ÿ‘

Our second episode of Inside St. Robert takes you behind the scenes of an operation that helps keep nearly every City department moving.

Meet Chris Dumas, Garage Supervisor, who manages the City's Public Works Garage as a one-man shop. From w**d eaters to Peterbilts and everything in between, Chris is responsible for helping keep the City's vehicles and equipment maintained, repaired, and ready to work.

As Chris says in the video, no two days are quite the same. Whether he's working in the shop, responding to an equipment breakdown in the field, scheduling outside repairs and recalls, or ordering the supplies needed to keep everything running, his work supports City operations every single day.

Chris takes pride in doing the job right the first time, and we're proud to have him on the City of St. Robert team.

๐Ÿ‘ And another great job by our summer intern, Caden Vaughn, for taking us behind the scenes and telling the stories of the people who serve St. Robert.

Enjoy Episode 2 of Inside St. Robert!
