On Wednesday, October 15th, the PCGA held its monthly meeting. Our Business Spotlight this month was Tier Financial. Tierra Harrell came and shared about her business and financial educational opportunities, including a children's book she authored.

Our program this month was on Law Enforcement. Sheriff Stacy Ball and Dan Cordova, Waynesville PD Chief, spoke about crime and drug trends in the area. Drug overdoses are down due to fentanyl but they are still occurring and all drug crimes are being sought after. They urge the public to take precautions such as being aware of your surroundings, lock your homes, leave porch lights on at night, don't leave keys and valuables in vehicles and lock your vehicles in public and when in your driveway. These actions can help prevent thefts and break-ins.

Additionally, Dan Cordova announced his upcoming retirement.

Next month's meeting is scheduled on November 19th at 9am at the St. Robert Municipal Center in the Council Chambers. All are well welcome to attend.
