Request for Proposals – 60" Commercial Lawn Mower

The Ste. Genevieve County Fire Protection District (SGCFPD) is currently accepting proposals for the purchase of one (1) 60-inch commercial-grade lawn mower.

Interested vendors are encouraged to review the complete Request for Proposal (RFP) package for specifications, submission requirements, and deadlines.

All proposals must be submitted in accordance with the requirements outlined in the RFP document.

The SGCFPD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities in the proposal process when deemed to be in the best interest of the District.

Good morning,

We’ve received several questions regarding why the tornado sirens did or did not activate during last night’s tornado warning.

The outdoor warning siren system is designed to activate only in the areas directly impacted by the warning. This means that if the portion of the storm capable of producing a tornado is located in one part of Ste. Genevieve County, only the sirens in that specific area will sound. Sirens in other parts of the county may not activate if they are outside the warned area.

This is intentional and helps ensure that warnings are targeted to those most at risk.

We hope this helps clarify any concerns and reassures those who may have thought there was a malfunction with the siren system.

🚨 Tornado Warning – Take Shelter Now 🚨

Severe storms are moving through the area, and southwestern Ste. Genevieve County is under a Tornado Warning set to expire at 845.

⚠️ Seek shelter immediately in a basement or interior room on the lowest floor. Stay away from windows.

🚒 SGCFPD is monitoring conditions and ready to respond.
