The FOSPL Bookends Book Store is hitting the "pause" button on donations for the next 2 weeks. We are always grateful for donations but currently do not have the ability to accept donations while the SPL is closed (please do not leave donations outside the store. We are completely volunteer staffed and donations left outside may be damaged by weather or critters). We will spend the next 2 weeks processing our current donations and sprucing up the store. We appreciate your understanding. Happy Reading!

Teresa Lumpkin received Volunteer of Year award today presented by President Sue Marie Starnes. Teresa has been seen selling t-shirts, blowing up balloons, or where ever she can help. Thank you for being a Friend of Salado Public Library Teresa!

Sue Marie Starnes, FOSPL President, presented Jane Hackley with the FOSPL Employee of the Year award! Jane has been at the library since 2015. But we have always known Jane is in the library with her great book displays and her friendly smile . Thank you for being a Friend. Congratulate Jane when you see her again.

The FOSPL are holding their 3rd Author Enlightenment Fundraiser on October 13 th. This gift basket could be yours only if you purchase a $5 ticket. The basket includes: The Book of "Agatha Whiskey" filled with drink recipes found from her many novels, two highball glasses, dark chocolate bourbon sticks, a yummy candle for ambience, and a bottle of Glenmorganie Highland Malt Scotch Whiskey! Proceeds bring more activities to our village library. You do not need to be present to win but must be over 21 to purchase and win!

Exciting News! SAVE THE DATE- OCTOBER 13TH
We are thrilled to announce that Tim Flanagan, a beloved figure in Salado's art scene, will be starring in a special reading of Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Orient Express" at Chapel at Caliber Oak, Salado.

Tim is the face behind two Main Street businesses: Solas Gallery, which showcases fine art, and Salado Village Framer, where he helps customers find just the right frame for their cherished pieces.

Join us as the Chapel is transformed into the iconic dining car, where ticket holders will enjoy cocktails from Christie's era along with scrumptious hors d'oeuvres while helping solve the mystery of "whodunit" As always guests are encouraged to dress for the event, this time in 1930's fashions as you board the train.
