Good morning, Salem!

Main/Pleasant Intersection – Traffic Update
Utility work at the Pleasant/Main intersection will move to the center of the Pleasant/Main intersection beginning Tuesday October 22nd. Westbound only toward the highway will continue through the work zone. All eastbound traffic (headed toward Broadway) will be detoured beginning at South Policy Street. Traffic to the Main Apartments and Enterprise Bank will detoured primarily toward the Willow St/North Broadway intersection to the north side of the development. Inbound bank traffic will be permitted to use the former Tuscan Kitchen site. This phase of work will last 1-2 weeks at which time the largest majority of road excavation will be complete. Following this stage work will still be ongoing and motorists can still expect traffic delays and possible detours for the next few weeks depending on the work happening. Two-way traffic will be reestablished at the end of each workday. If construction conditions change then a full road closure is possible. Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays during these times and are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
