St. Francis Family Housing

St. Francis Family Housing St. SFS has provided temporary housing to homeless families with children in Marion and Polk Counties since 1987. SFS can house up to 11 families at a time.

Francis Family Housing provides safe family shelter, individualized case management, and life skill development for families with children experiencing homelessness in Marion and Polk Counties Each family lives in a furnished, self-contained, one- or two-bedroom apartment. Families staying at the shelter are responsible for purchasing their own food and clothing and must demonstrate that they are working towards securing permanent housing or completing classes while they are here.

Every time the families at St. Francis Family Housing step foot onto our campus, they are choosing change: to be a good neighbor, to be the parent they wish they had, to change the trajectory of their children’s lives. 💫When these families had an opportunity for a second chance, an opportunity for change, they took it. And because of the generosity of YOU, these children and families continue to have a safe space to make meaningful change.✨

Our amazing Communications and Development Officer, Bonique Hollinrake, has successfully completed her Major Gifts and Fundraising certification through the Veritus Group.

Bonique poured so much heart and dedication into this self-guided course, focusing on meaningful ways to deepen donor trust, strengthen our fundraising structure, and lead with heart through a donor-centered approach. This wonderful achievement is such a proud milestone for both Bonique and our entire St. Francis Family Housing community.
