The Sarah Nicholson Allen House Preservation Committee invites you to support our efforts to restore this circa 1830 Federal-style house. Conveniently and prominently situated at the western terminus of the Broadway Historic District on busy state route 49, it will serve a public benefit as a Welcome Center for tourists who want to learn about the historic sites in the City of Salem. We will share walking tour brochures and other resources which will include underrepresented histories. The house, as it undergoes restoration, will serve as a practical training ground for a new heritage building trades program that will begin in the near future in the City.

We will be applying for our first capital grant to address exterior problems, and need to raise a match of $60,000 in cash. Our financial partner who will collect the donations is Stand Up for Salem, a 501c3 organization, so your gift is tax-deductible. We have begun collecting $1,000 donations from area businesses and individuals. Donations of any size will be greatly appreciated!
