EFC crews responded today to a lawn mower fire on East Amwellbury Road. Engine 15-1 and Tanker 15-5 made the response and assisted with the incident.

Once back on station, Ambulance 15-8 was dispatched and responded to Salem City to assist SFD with an investigation.

Another busy day for EFC crews serving our community and surrounding areas. 🚒🚑

EFC had the opportunity to cover Station 5 yesterday, and our crews made the most of it!

While providing coverage, crews washed the apparatus, conducted some training with the Pennsville Ambulance Department, and kept our firefighters ready to respond. We staffed Engine 15 and Tanker 15, while also leaving a crew available to cover calls within our own district. Crews responded to 1 call for service.

Thanks to Pennsville Fire Department for the opportunity to partner and keep our communities safe!

Elsinboro Fire Company is proud to share that moments ago it was announced that we have received the New Jersey Governor’s Award for Safety and Health Performance!

This prestigious award recognizes organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to improving their safety and health programs, demonstrating excellence in workplace safety, reducing workplace hazards, and a commitment to protecting their members.

The Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Awards are sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL), the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the New Jersey State Industrial Safety Committee (NJSISC).

This award is given to organizations that have implemented safety initiatives, while having injury rates lower than peers within their industry. As a volunteer fire company, EFC is proud of the culture we have created, keeping safety top of mind. From training and PPE to accountability, equipment, and operating safely on every call, our members continue to make safety a priority.

We are incredibly proud of our members and the work they put in every day to make EFC a safer place to serve. Congratulations to everyone who helped make this achievement possible!

EFC units were proud to provide coverage for the Salem County Fair this evening. Staffing the assignment were Ambulance 15, Utility 15, UTV 15, Engine 15, and Brush 15, ensuring both emergency medical and fire response capabilities were readily available throughout the event.

We didn't have the opportunity to get many pictures. It was a busy night for our members, who handled four calls for service while maintaining coverage for fairgoers and event staff.

A special thank you to our mutual aid partners who checked in as we handled multiple alarms.

In total, 14 EFC members participated in tonight's assignment. Thank you to all of our members for their professionalism and service. We hope everyone enjoyed their evening at the fair!

What a great evening connecting with our community at National Night Out!

EFC members staffed an information table where visitors could learn more about fire safety, emergency preparedness, and the many ways Elsinboro Fire Company serves our residents. Our prize wheel was a big hit, and it was great seeing so many smiles from the winners.

Thank you to everyone who came out to visit, ask questions, and spend the evening with us. Special thanks to the LACPD for hosting the event and LACFR for coordinating the fire/EMS events. Events like these strengthen the bond between the communities we proudly serve.

🚒Training Tuesday: Because Apparently Firefighters and EMTs Build Legos Now…🚒

A little rain couldn’t stop us from weekly training. Since Mother Nature decided we needed an indoor training night, we broke out the Legos.

This wasn’t just playtime! Members were challenged to build a specific final product using clear and concise communication while incorporating incident command, safety, accountability, and even incident rehab into our scenario.

The catch? Not everyone had all the information, and the only way to get the job done was to communicate, listen, and work as a team. We didn’t quite make it through every step before time ran out, but we came pretty close to the intended outcome.
There isn’t an instruction manual when the calls come in, so efficient communication is key!

Members staffed the station today, putting in the work while staying ready to respond when the tones dropped.

Today’s training focused on Mayday and RIT operations, sharpening the skills needed when one of our own is in trouble.
