Kindergartners had the best reaction when Treasurer Steiner and Oregon Department of Education Director Dr. Williams told them their families can get a $100 boost for their education savings just by opening an Embark Savings account with $25.

Oregon Public Employees Pension Fund has been recognized as the top-performing large pension fund in the country since 1997!

More highlights from this week’s Oregon Investment Council meeting:

🔷 For the period January 1-March 31, OPERF returned 0.6%, with 5 of 7 portfolios generating positive returns despite weaker public equity markets and escalating international conflicts.

🔷 The Real Estate portfolio outperformed benchmarks over 1-, 5-, and 10-year periods, generating consistent, resilient income returns in varying market environments.

🔷 The Real Assets portfolio posted $1.6 billion in distributions, the highest in the portfolio’s history, generating $300 million in net distribution proceeds.

Behavioral health facilities, food assistance and emergency preparedness programs, housing infrastructure projects, and more, are set to receive funding following the successful completion of an Oregon Lottery Revenue Bond sale this month.

Facilitated through Treasury’s Buy Oregon Bonds Program, the completed offering will provide $140.1 million for statewide programs, funds, and community projects.
