ATTENTION SALEM VOTERS!!!

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Marion County Clerk’s Office Announces the emergency temporary polling place move of the Marion County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building March 17th Primary Election precincts. This polling place move includes Precincts: Salem 1, Salem 2, Salem 5 and Salem 8. All precincts will be moved to the First Christian Church Gym at 1200 W. Boone St., Salem, IL 62881.

JUDGES, letters have all been mailed for several weeks. Training schools are filling up. Because of several factors, not all judges will receive a letter this time. Historically, the lack of voter turnout for a gubernatorial primary dictates that we need less judges in most polling places. We will expect to need more judges in the November General Election. If you have not yet received your letter and are wondering, please call our office early this week @ 548-3852.

Election Judges...The letters for the April 1st election have been mailed. Class dates are Monday March 17th 5:30p @ Centralia High School Annex Gym, Tuesday March 18th 1:00p Library gym, and 5:30p @ Salem Library gym. Judge paychecks will be issued mid-late April. You may call our office to confirm your appointment. 548-3852.

Anyone needing to update your voter registration, please bring a photo ID and 1 piece of mail that MUST contain your current physical address and your name. Junk mail is acceptable. The courthouse will be open Saturday morning from 8am until noon. Vote early and avoid election day crowds!!
