Salem Citizens Academy - Free 10 week course that will give attendees a broader understanding of how the city operates. This will be a very hands on experience covering all departments of the city.

Your stuffy is invited to a library sleepover! Drop off your favorite stuffed animal on Friday, September 18 anytime between 3:30-6:00pm, then return Saturday, September 19 between 10:00-11:00am for a light breakfast and slideshow of their overnight adventures! Salem Residents, after today’s rain and windstorm, we know there is some debris to clean up!

Mayor Cristy Simons and City Manager Matt Marziale have opened the Salem Green Waste to residents.

The Green Waste will be open tomorrow, Saturday, August 29, from noon to 6:00 p.m.

We can take tree branches up to 36 INCHES! You heard that right, 36 inches!

The Green Waste is located at 751 West Arrowhead Trail. We double checked the address, but Google Maps may try to take you to a home in Payson near the cemetery. Google Maps is confused. We have submitted a request to Google to have that corrected, so you may need to navigate this one old school!

If you have trouble with the address, here are some driving instructions: Go to the Salem Wahoo Arena on the southeast corner of Arrowhead Trail and Loafer Mountain Parkway. Pull in, drive around the south end of the arena by the archery target, and you will see the Green Waste area where you can unload.

We are also happy to take grass clippings, shrubs, garden waste, weeds, and leaves, if you’re feeling like making it a SUPER productive Saturday!
