I'm honored to be recognized by the Center for Effective Lawmaking as one of Oregon's most effective State Representatives and to receive an "Above Expectations" ranking for a sustained record of effective lawmaking.

This recognition isn't about me—it's about the people who show up, work together, and aren't afraid to have the difficult conversations required to make government work better for the communities we serve.

This work often requires us to take hard votes on bills that, while maybe aren't perfect, bring us closer to a more perfect union. And while these votes can get us into some hot water with folks, at the end of the day, I believe public service should be measured by results. I am beyond grateful that results I have helped deliver have put me in such good company with my colleagues who continue to work hard on these issues.

My commitment remains the same: working across the aisle, focusing on practical solutions, and delivering legislation that strengthens our communities, supports veterans, improves public safety, and makes government more responsive and accountable.

Data centers should pay their fair share. Period.

While data centers face the whopping increase, smaller businesses and residential ratepayers will see a small rate cut, with the new rates effective July 8.
