The Translation Advisory Council is looking for volunteers to help review Oregon's translated Voters' Pamphlet with the next election, and we need your help spreading the word.

We're seeking volunteers for the Translation Advisory Council (TAC) to help make our elections more accessible through the translation of voters' pamphlets. You're encouraged to apply if you can read and write in any of the following languages: Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Arabic, Iu Mien, Korean, Nepali, Japanese, or Somali-speaking members

While there is no firm deadline for applying, the priority deadline for applicants interested in current openings is July 15. New member service begins August 1.

To be a member of the TAC, a person must be a resident of Oregon and have civic service and lived experience in a community served by translated voters’ pamphlets or be proficient in English and one of the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Marshallese, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, Ukrainian or Vietnamese.

The Oregon Elections Division is seeking Chinese speakers who read and write Simplified and Traditional Chinese characters, Arabic, Iu Mien, Korean, Nepali, Japanese, or Somali-speaking members for the Translation Advisory Council (TAC) to help make our elections more accessible through the translation of voters' pamphlets.
