Today shortly before 1pm Box 602 was dispatched to Market Street for a reported dwelling fire. Units arrived with heavy fire from the 2nd floor and victims in the street. The fire was in a single family dwelling converted to a multi-unit structure. Crews encountered difficulties gaining access to the bulk of the fire that had spread to the 3rd floor. This fire went to three alarms and brought firefighters from Cumberland and New Castle Counties to assist. Units operated for over 4 hours.

We wish the residents a speedy recovery.

2 alarm commercial structure fire this morning. Fire on three floors. Salem units operated for 3 hours. Assistance provided by Stations 15, 5, 18, 19, 14, 26, CC21, and Squad 35. Chief 6 held Broadway Command.

Solid performance by all companies. No injuries.
