On Nov 7th, 2025 approximately 8pm a good samaritan found 3 dogs on the side of the road locked in a crate. They were found in the area of Mt Calm Rd and Stateline Rd off Hwy 87 north of Gepp. Officers were able to retrieve 2 of them but the black and tan got away. If anyone recognizes them or has any information on the owner please contact the Fulton County Sheriff's Department 870-895-2601.

***********SCAM ALERT**********
Just so the public is aware, someone is pretending to be a deputy with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office asking people to pay money for an item or partical bail in order to get their family members out of jail. The area code on the number is 470 and goes by the names of Bryan, Ryan, or Gregory.

The Sheriffs Office never calls asking family for money for an inmate. If it sounds suspicious or in doubt call the Sheriffs office directly at 870-895-2601.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been cancelled for our area but the Tornado Watch will remain in effect until midnight.

As of right now Gepp, Viola, Mammoth Spring, Saddle are without power,NAEC has some transmission lines down that took out some substations. They are working on it. We are having heavy rain and high winds, if you don't have to get out please stay home until storm passes.

According to the National Weather Service we are under a Tornado watch until 9pm. I will keep everyone updated as we know.

Please use caution when burning. If it's windy don't burn. We are not under a burn ban, but the Fire Departments along with Forestry are fighting several field and woods fires right now because of careless burning.
