Its time again to show our support to our community by supporting our local Toys for Tots event. This program is often the only Christmas some children receive so lets make sure every child smiles this year. Please bring a new, unwrapped gift for a boy or girl ages 1 through 17 to Town Hall or any drop off location in town, and we will make sure they get delivered. Thank you so much for your continued support of this great program

KUDOS to the Town of Salem Fire Dept and Rescue Squad for all the hard work and long hours these men and women dedicated to the citizens of Salem during this week's storm. From noon Monday through noon Tuesday they responded, non stop, to more than 60 calls for service. Most of our VOLUNTEER personnel worked almost 24 hours straight cutting trees out of our roadways, fighting live power lines and assisting our community in anyway it needed. THANK YOU for the job you do and for being there when we call........

Please be safe today and take your time while traveling our roads. We have a number of trees and power lines down all over the area and crews diligently working hard to move them. Please watch out for them as they work in the roadways.
