People came to the door asking to buy them, and the Vince Woods U-Pick Pumpkin Patch was born. The operation moved to 6435 62nd Ave NE in 1974, when Vince bought acreage from his uncle, who had inherited it from his father, who bought it in 1912. Members of the Woods family have been farming here for 100 years. Our customers still find local pumpkins at farm-direct prices. They enjoy selecting the
ir perfect pumpkins in the field and wheel barrowing them to the scale shed. Many families make this outing an autumn ritual. Admission to the Pumpkin Forest and Caboose is 50 cents per person this year in honor of our 50th season. Below are photos of some of the things inside in previous years. 50 Years. That's right. You don't do something for 50 years unless you enjoy it, and Vince Woods does. He's raised pumpkins, squash and ornamental corn for your fall decorating for longer than most people's careers! You'll find special prices this season for this milestone. Pumpkins 18 cents a pound. Squash 18 cents a pound. Cornstalks, ornamental or broom corn, bunch of 7, $1.50. Lunaria gourds, $1.50 each. Pepo gourds, miniature pumpkins and ornamental corn. 40 cents each or 5 for $2.00
