Don't you love love love the fall colors this time of year! The maple trees, cottonwood trees, and ornamental trees are turning brilliant red orange and yellows. The nursery stock looks great and it's not too late to plant.

Fall colors are starting to show in the nursery. It's still not too late for fall planting of deciduous trees. We still have some White Oak, Cottonwood, maples, Lindens, willow trees, crab apples, apple trees, and pear trees along with raspberries and shrubs. They are all potted and have done well in spite of a stressful hot summer. This is a great time to plant with the cool temperatures and the moisture that we recently had. The current sale prices are still valid through the middle of October. Contact the McCook County Conservation District if you're interested in planting some trees.

September 9th 2026.
Our nursery trees are looking great and soaking up the blessings from the rains. We still have apple trees that are producing fruit along with pear trees, one gallon potted trees such as White oak, cottonwood, maples, willows, pine trees, various shrubs and raspberries. We also have ornamental trees such as Frontyard Linden, Greenspire linden, Burr oak, crab apple trees, and Honey locust to name a few. Fall is a great time to plant.
