It is National Volunteer Week, and there is no better time to shine a spotlight on the Certified Ombudsman Volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to this program. These remarkable Oregonians stand beside residents of long-term care when their voices need to be heard most. Every facility visit, conversation, investigation, resolution, and every other moment of advocacy helps ensure that no resident has to feel alone.

To the volunteers of LTCO, thank you. This program would not exist without you. Thank you for being a shining example of the meaningful change that can happen when we stand up for others in our communities.

Next Tuesday, 3/24, is the last day to apply for the in-person volunteer advocate training in Lane County! While we host virtual training year-round, this upcoming live training in Springfield will be the first in-person session we've held in six years!
