Big win for Oregon's disability services workforce! πŸ™Œ Governor Tina Kotek just signed HB 4115 into law, and we are HERE for it! This new legislation streamlines the background check process for providers β€” cutting the red tape, removing redundancy, and making checks portable across care settings. That means less time on paperwork and more time doing what matters most: supporting the individuals in our communities. πŸ’™
A huge shoutout and thank you to Rep. Nancy Nathanson for championing this bill and making it happen! πŸ‘

We’re at it again with the Leadership Olympics! πŸ…

Because teams that can compete in wonderfully ridiculous Monday morning challenges are teams that can conquer the world β€” or, at the very least, work together, keep growing, and provide excellent supports to our community.

At Sunrise, we believe leadership is built through learning, teamwork, laughter, and the occasional highly competitive silly game.

Congratulations to this week’s winners! Wear those medals proudly this week β€” and always. You earned the glory. πŸ‘πŸ†

Confidence doesn’t happen overnight. It builds through experience.

Having a job creates opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed in real time. Showing up, building routines, and completing tasks all contribute to something bigger.

Over time, those small moments add up. What starts as something new and unfamiliar becomes something someone feels proud of.

Our latest blog shares how being in the workplace helps build confidence and why opportunity matters.
