Members of Anchor Bay Church, including Grace Center volunteers Janet and John French, recently provided a special lunch for our guests from Leonardo’s, a local pizza and sub shop. The meal included pizza, salad, seltzer, and homemade cookies. We are beyond thankful for their generosity and ongoing support!

Some challenges tied to homelessness are rarely talked about, especially when aging, mental health, and housing instability overlap. This client’s story shows the realities of aging while experiencing homelessness and the importance of compassionate support systems that help individuals regain stability and dignity.

“Hoarding disorder is complex. It can be a coping mechanism for fear or in response to a traumatic experience,” says Buckley, Lifebridge Director.

Twice a year, we distribute specialized backpacks, called CITYPAKs, specifically designed for people living on the streets or in shelters. We fill each backpack with personal care items donated by the North Shore community.
