I love that we get to experience so many firsts with our youth…
• one youth who spread out his arms and closed his eyes at the beach and said “I’ve never seen the ocean before”
• serving pancakes, sausage and eggs for dinner… “I’ve never eaten breakfast for dinner before”
• at Wake The World… “That was my first time on a boat”
• purchasing school shoes… “I’ve never picked out my own shoes, my mom always bought them for me.”
• “You change the sheets every week? That’s wild.”
• petting a pig… “I’ve never touched a pig before, I didn’t know they have hair!”
So many experiences, new foods, celebrations, learning opportunities.
