Salem NH Lions Club

Salem NH Lions Club The Salem New Hampshire Lions Club serves its community by helping those in need.

The Salem New Hampshire Lions Club is involved with many community projects, fundraising events, programs and causes to support health, education and veterans. Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world's blind, Lion

s clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community. Lions are known as knights of the blind, focusing on programs and services for the blind and visually impaired – and aim to eliminate preventable and reversible blindness. We also participate in other community health programs and projects related to other conditions such as hearing loss and diabetes.

On Saturday, May 30th, a number of Salem Lions, along with Lions from around the district, braved the rain, wind and even a bit of wet snow to assist in the annual Spring Cleanup at Lions Camp Pride in New Durham, NH. For those that are unaware, Camp Pride provides a summer camp experience for various groups of youths with special needs.

The Salem Lions tended to their cabin, and assisted in other tasks where needed. Additionally, the event gave Lions an opportunity to once again catch up with friends from other clubs around the district.

Helping to support Camp Pride and the children the camp supports is just one example of the many rewarding benefits of being a Lion. The Salem chapter meets every fourth Thursday of the month at the First Congregational Church in Salem on Lawrence Road. There's no cost and no commitment. All are welcome!

I’m so glad the Lions are doing more for mental health. We always were there for any need. “Where there is a need, there is a Lion”. But the more visibility to this life threatening issue, the better. We Serve!!

Where there is a need, there is a Lion 🦁 Lions, community, family, friends and co-workers showed out to support our 1st 5K raising money for Childhood Cancer. The weather was perfect and the event a success! This first year we walked in honor of Weston Moss, an 11 year old Salem resident, fighting Ewing Sarcoma. 100% of today’s registrations and donations will be sent to the Little Warrior Foundation to help their mission to fund research for better treatment options and the race for a cure💛💛
