💙✨ Children's Champion Award Recipient – Kelly Moss ✨💙
One of the most meaningful moments of our 2nd Annual Gala will be recognizing an individual whose compassion, resilience, and unwavering dedication to children has touched countless lives.
This year, Salem Family Resources is honored to present our Children's Champion Award to Kelly Moss.
Many in our community know Kelly through the heartbreaking loss of her son, Weston, who courageously battled Ewing Sarcoma. But this award is not about the tragedy Kelly has endured, it's about the incredible way she has chosen to respond to it.
In honor of Weston, Kelly founded Weston's Big Wish, a foundation dedicated to advancing awareness, research, and hope for children facing pediatric cancer. Even during Weston's illness, Kelly's heart remained focused on helping others, donating his remaining specialized formula to our pantry so another family could benefit.
Kelly has spent years investing in children through her work in education and her incredible volunteer leadership throughout Salem. From serving on the Recreation Advisory Committee, Cub Scouts, the Fisk PTA, Salem's Charter Commission, the Salem Area Women's Club, the Salem Lions Club, and now as Vice Chair of the Salem School Board, she has continually dedicated her time, talents, and voice to making our community a better place for children and families.
Kelly reminds us that even in life's most difficult moments, love can become purpose, and loss can become a legacy of hope for others.
Please join us in congratulating Kelly Moss, our 2026 Children's Champion Award Recipient. 💙 We are honored to celebrate her remarkable service, unwavering advocacy, and the incredible difference she continues to make in the lives of children and families.
