The Quakers defeated Canfield 21–17 for their first win over the Cardinals since 1990!

And at halftime, we proudly honored those in attendance from the Salem Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2026 and their families. What a great weekend!

Last night was a GREAT night to be a Quaker! ❤️ 🖤

The Class of 2026 was formally inducted into the Salem Athletic Hall of Fame in front of an incredible crowd of 140 supporters! We are so proud to celebrate the accomplishments, dedication, and legacy of this outstanding group.

Each of our inductees will also be recognized at the beginning of halftime during tonight’s home-opening football game against Canfield. 🏈

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We are honored to welcome you into the Salem Athletic Hall of Fame!

Incredibly grateful for the support of the Salem City Council in helping honor and celebrate the memory of coach Earle Bruce, a true Quaker legend who got his start in Salem and went on to become a College Football Hall of Fame coach. A proud moment for our community to recognize such an impactful legacy!

In Thursday's Salem News:
SALEM – City council will consider a proposal to give an honorary designation to a section of East Pershing Street.
The public services committee voted unanimously Tuesday to forward a proposal to give the section of East Pershing Street in front of Sebo Stadium between Lincoln and Ohio avenues the honorary designation “Earl Bruce Way” in memory of the eponymous hall of fame coach to the city council for review in an upcoming meeting.
