The Portland Rose Festival Dragon Boat Race’s Sailing Forward initiative is a multiyear project to replace aging boats with a brand-new fleet of traditional-style dragon boats, custom-built in Portland's sister city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The initiative is supported in part by a Cultural Development Grant from the Oregon Cultural Trust.

These aren't just boats; they are hand-painted works of art designed for a unique flag-catching finish. By renewing the fleet, PKSCA is preserving the cultural bond between Portland and Taiwan for the next generation of paddlers.

This funding is vital in helping PKSCA secure the first two boats of its 10-year renewal plan!

How can you help?
• Donate: Every dollar you donate goes toward the heavy lifting of shipping and manufacturing.
• Double Your Impact: Remember, if you donate to PKSCA, you can match that gift with a donation to the Oregon Cultural Trust to receive a 100% Oregon tax credit!

Be sure not to miss the colorful spectacle of this year's Portland Rose Festival Dragon Boat Race on June 6-7 at South Hawthorne Waterfront Park.
