The Oregon State Capitol Foundation is proud to fund exhibits at the Capitol, which include biennial exhibits in the cases outside of the hearing rooms, virtual exhibits on the website, rotating exhibits in the Capitol Galleria, electronic exhibits in the Welcome Center and our public art throughout the building.

Congratulations to the fifteen most recent Capitol Foundation Civics Education Initiative award recipients! Awardees include Boys and Girls Club of Salem, Marion and Polk Counties; Center for Women's Leadership; City of Sisters; Civics Learning Project; East County Rising Community Projects; Hatfield Futures Program; International School of Beaverton; Next Up; Oregon Business and Industry Research and Education Foundation; Oregon Humanities; Oregon YMCA Youth and Government; Politisit; Portland Urban Debate League; Rural Development Initiatives and Young Leaders Program. The Capitol Foundation awarded a total of $225,883 for this fifth round of awards.

We honor Margie Courtney for her support of and partnership with the Capitol Foundation since its inception in 1997, and Sen. Rick Metsger for creating the Capitol Foundation’s revenue sharing program from sales of the Pacific Wonderland license plates.

The Oregon State Capitol Foundation is proud to fund the Capitol’s exhibit program — and now we’re offering grants of up to $10,000 to support cultural and heritage museums that want to share their stories. If your organization has a story to tell, we’d love to help!

The applications are open now at https://oregoncapitol.com/events-and-exhibits-exhibit..., and the cycle closes at 11:59 p.m. January 31, 2026.

This program, funded by the Oregon State Capitol Foundation, allows organizations to tell more stories and share them with the community.
