Crown Royal Gift That Keeps On Giving

Congratulations to Coast Guardsman of the Year Petty Officer 3rd Class Gerrod J. Britton! His life-saving actions make him one of the most outstanding service members of the year.

Britton was off-duty in California when he witnessed the vehicle in front of him cross the median and crash into oncoming traffic lanes. Without hesitation, he pulled over, contacted emergency response, and assessed the scene. The vehicle was overturned with three men trapped inside.

Britton extracted two of the individuals and got them to safety. The third victim was severely injured and trapped underneath the car when it began to catch fire.

Without regard for his own personal safety, Britton and an additional bystander were able to lift the unstable vehicle on its side. This gave Britton the room needed to extract the now-unconscious man through a broken window, just seconds before the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames.

The USO is honored to name this brave Coast Guardsman a 2021 USO Service Member of the Year. Learn about all the heroic honorees here: http://ow.ly/VN4p50Hm3ZV

80 years ago today, Pearl Harbor was attacked and 2,403 Americans lost their lives.

Thankful for all our military and military families, past and present, for their services and sacrifices to continue to protect our freedoms. 🇺🇸

Hubb's is host throughout the year for several events to many groups/ organizations. One organization that we host events for, here on the farm, is the Wounded Warrior Project. If you're not familiar with this organization, be sure to check it out and learn more about how you can help make a difference by visiting their website or follow this link ⤵️

"Brother was on a ship and on his way toward Pearl Harbor when we heard about the attack. We didn't know if he was ok for weeks. We were relieved to hear his ship arrived shortly after the attack, but still so sad for all the ones that had lost their lives and the uncertainty of where this would lead the soldiers next."
