Kolker for Colorado

10/12/2026

This fall, I traveled over 1,365 miles visiting with our higher education communities on the Western slope and across Colorado. I learned about their amazing basic needs programs, hands-on engineering courseworks, relationships with indigenous communities, and NCAA championships. Funding for higher education has been declining in the past decades, marking it more difficult for many to obtain an affordable degree. I am thankful for the opportunity to listen and learn from campuses about how state legislators can help in supporting affordable, high-quality higher education programs across our state.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month! 💙

In 2025, we passed legislation to expand dyslexia screening for students. Now, our bill goes into effect, helping identify challenges earlier and connect more children with the support they need to thrive.

This month, we recognize the students, families, educators, and advocates working to raise awareness and make a difference. 📚✨

9/11/2001. Never Forget, and I never will. 25 years have passed and so many have been born since, including our own two girls. We paid our respects during our visit in 2024 and taught them about the attacks then and continue to teach them now. God bless all the victims that day and the years since who passed from health issues directly related to the toxins during the searches and clean up.

Though I never met in real life, I was and am proud to support her work through the Imagination Library here in Colorado. She meant so much to so many and her impact will continue to be felt far beyond her music. We lost a great soul. Her reward surely is great in heaven. God Bless and Rest in Joy Miss Dolly.

Proof what many of us have long argued, Trump and his lackeys withheld hundreds millions in grant and funding to Colorado as punishment for keeping criminal Tina Peters in jail. This is corruption and malfeasance at the highest level, punishing and hurting livelihoods for political revenge! We need ALL of our federal ELECTED senators and representatives to stand up in ANY and EVERY way possible to this administration’s illegal and fascist behavior. The hits keep coming, another endless war to distract from the Epstein files, daily lies about the state of our military, outrageous deficit spending, rollbacks of environmental and worker protections, Grifting at the most obscene levels to self promote and pocket billions of dollars for himself, his allies and family. This is a TRUE CRIME FAMILY, THE TRUMPS. How can anyone not see through smoke and B.S is beyond reason?!
