As part of Nest Quest, The Moth at the Church is doing a cool storytelling theme in October around “Shelter & Place: Seeking, Finding or Losing Home.”

NestQuest is a six month-long, community-driven arts and storytelling initiative in Salida dedicated to reframing the discussion of home and belonging.

KHEN Community Radio and A Church are back with the 5th annual Salida Moth, a live storytelling night inspired by The Moth. This year’s theme is “Shelter & Place: Seeking, Finding or Losing Home.”

Auditions for true stories about finding yourself somewhere unexpected are being held on on August 25th and 29th.

The May deadline for the Housing Needs Assessment Community survey is approaching fast. Please take this survey if you live, are retired, work in, and/or work remotely, in Chaffee County. This includes those who commute into Chaffee County for work or reside in the county seasonally for work or vacation.
