Chaffee County Public Health, Chaffee Housing Authority and Book Club Salida invite you to our next community book club discussion about the book Evicted. The event will be on September 9, 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm at A Church in Salida (419 D Street) Tickets are $25 and include a copy of the book, a catered dinner, and a guided community discussion. Pick up a book at Book Club Salida or the Chaffee County Public Health Office in the Touber Building store once you have registered. We hope to see you there!

Public Health Survey Available Until Sept. 30

Chaffee County Public Health is inviting residents to complete a confidential community survey that will help identify the health issues, strengths, and priorities that matter most. The survey is available in both English and Spanish and takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. The survey is available through September 30, 2026

Individual responses are confidential and will only be reported as part of summarized community data.
