There are hundreds of musicians, venues, and music ecosystem people in north-central Kansas. We have received approximately 200 responses to the Census so far. Here is where we could really use some help:
1. Music venues, bookers, promoters, sound techs, teachers, and retailers.
2. Ottawa County music representatives from all areas. Only 4 responses so far.
3. Regional musicians who work in Salina from Cloud, Ellsworth, Dickinson, McPherson, and Lincoln counties.
4. People 18-25. They are currently underrepresented.
5. Hispanic and Latino voices are slightly underrepresented as well.

Please share this with music people everywhere, but especially those in the areas above. Thanks! Friday is the last day to help shape the area's musical future.

Calling everyone who helps make Salina’s music scene happen: please take the Salina Music Census today!

Whether you perform, teach, record, produce, sell equipment, run a venue, provide sound, or support music in another way—your experience matters. The census is the first step in Salina’s participation in Kansas Music Cities Together and will help local leaders better understand and strengthen our music ecosystem.

We are participating in a statewide effort to learn more about local music ecosystems. In Salina, we just launched the Salina Music Census, a survey focused on people who work in the Salina music community in any capacity. This means musicians, venues, studios, educators, vendors, sound engineers, and any community members doing music-related activities. Music fans - help us spread the word!

What to know about CAD?
-Meeting held every 3rd Tuesday, at 4:30 pm, with no meeting in June or December
-The focus---Public Art in Salina
-Members review and give feedback on a variety of projects and programs, for the City of Salina, KS Government and public/private community collaborations, acting as a sounding board for all
-Each year the Committee helps to determine a location for the SculptureTour Salina People's Choice purchase sculpture
-A term is 3 years, and members can serve two consecutive terms
