💙🚗 Last week, our Development Team traveled to Minneapolis for the Catholic Charities USA Funding for the Future Regional Convening!

Over two days, our team learned about different fundraising strategies, explored new ideas and best practices, and connected with fellow Catholic Charities agencies from across the region. It was a great opportunity to learn from one another, share ideas, and bring home new strategies that can help strengthen and sustain our mission here in northern Kansas.

We were also proud to have our Executive Director, Megan Robl, participate in a panel discussion during the convening! Megan joined leaders from other Catholic Charities agencies to share what has worked at their organizations, challenges they've faced, lessons they've learned, and successes they've experienced along the way.

One of the best parts of gathering together was hearing the different perspectives represented around the room. From rural communities to large cities, and from smaller organizations to much larger organizations, each Catholic Charities agency serves in its own unique way—but we all share a common mission of serving our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and hope. 💙

A big thank you to Catholic Charities USA for putting together such a valuable gathering and to Catholic Charities Twin Cities for being such gracious and accommodating hosts!

And, of course, Miles of Hope couldn't let the Development Team travel all the way to Minnesota without joining the adventure! 🚗💙

🧼💙 What an incredible gift!

Last week, we received an amazing donation from Giving the Basics—a pallet full of bars of soap AND a pallet full of cleaning wipes! 🙌

These everyday essentials are an important part of the hygiene items we provide to individuals and families who need a little extra support. Having supplies like these on hand helps us continue providing basic necessities while ensuring our neighbors have access to the items they need—with dignity and care.

We are incredibly grateful to Giving the Basics for this generous donation and for helping us keep these essential items available for the people we serve. Two pallets may look like a lot of soap and wipes—and it is!—but to us, it represents countless opportunities to provide a little extra help and care to our neighbors throughout northern Kansas. 💙

💙🎓 Last week, we participated in the Kansas Wesleyan University Discovery Fair, where we welcomed students back to campus and shared more about Catholic Charities and the programs and resources available in our community.

It was great to see so many students stopping by, learning more about our mission, and discovering all that the Salina community has to offer!

🍂☀️ Someone at our Hays office is VERY ready for fall…even if the weather isn’t cooperating! 😅

Miles of Hope took a little adventure to the front desk today to check out all of Marlo's fall decorations—and we think Miles is officially ready for cooler temperatures…aren't we all?! 🍁

With 100+ degree days outside, we may have to wait a little longer for that fall weather…but at least it’s looking cozy inside! 😂💙
