Franco (A240984) has been waiting a long time for his big break, so his adoption fee is now just $50. But don’t let the special fee fool you—this blue-eyed gentleman is the kind of dog who could become your favorite part of every day.

He is mild-mannered, wonderfully attentive, and an excellent walking companion who makes leash time feel easy. Franco enjoys affection and happily soaks up attention from people he trusts. He even attended an off-site adoption event and took part in Paws to Read, patiently listening as children read stories aloud to shelter dogs.

New indoor places can make Franco a little unsure at first, so he is looking for someone who will let him settle in gently and move at his own pace. Once he feels safe, his charming personality has room to shine.

With his gorgeous coat, striking blue eyes, and calm, soulful presence, Franco is a dog worth meeting in person. Come say hello, visit him in a play yard, and see whether this handsome boy is the missing piece of your home.

Toby (A236571) got lucky and got a short term foster and he’s doing great. Toby will be back at the shelter for adoptions starting Thursday, July 30th.

Foster home insights:

Toby is a nearly 2-year-old Husky with a stunning coat, piercing eyes, and a heart even bigger than his energy. We’re fostering him short-term from Hitchcock Road Animal Shelter so he can finally exhale—sleep deeply, stretch his legs, and feel what it’s like to be truly loved.

Toby is pure joy in dog form. He greets every person like a long-lost friend and will happily lean in for kisses if you let him. He adores other dogs and lights up at the chance to play and connect. His excitement can be a lot at first—especially for smaller or shy pups—but it comes from a place of pure, overflowing love. He’s not dominant, just deeply affectionate and eager to share his heart. With a little guidance, he’s going to blossom into an incredible companion.

- Walks beautifully on leash
- Potty trained
- Crate training in progress
- Learning basic obedience
- Good with cats

Toby isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. Someone who will match his energy, guide his big heart, and receive endless loyalty, love, and adventure in return.

If you’re ready for a best friend who will brighten every single day, Toby is waiting for you.
