Join us THIS Friday, September 18 for Zootopia 2 at Sherwood Park!
The fun starts at 6:00 p.m. with bounce houses, music, outdoor games, and food vendors 3 Pop Elotes De La Plaza .

The movie will begin at dusk.
Sherwood Park

This event is FREE! Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy a fun evening at the park. We hope to see you there!

The City celebrated the grand re-opening of Closter Park on August 29, 2026. The renovations were an over $10 million investment of State, Federal, and local funding in improving the quality of life in our community and giving the hundreds of Salinas residents that visit the park each week a new and refreshed space to enjoy and explore!

Hebbron Family Center Improvements were partially funded by Measure G. The new Hebbron Family Center offers programs to Salinas residents of all ages, from tiny tots to teens and seniors. The center includes community and meeting rooms, a teen lounge and kitchen, outdoor gathering spaces and multi-use sports court along with other lot improvements.

Our Firehouse Seniors had the opportunity to take part in creating pieces for โ€œKaleidoscope of Life,โ€ a new mosaic artwork celebrating the Salinas community!

The artwork represents the many different cultures, generations, and people that come together to make Salinas what it is. At the center of the piece is a California Scrub Jay taking flight, symbolizing optimism and our community moving toward a brighter future.

We are so excited that our Firehouse Seniors were able to contribute their creativity to a piece that will become part of our community! Thank you Mosaic Murals, Custom Benches, Sculptures !
