Thank you to everyone who joined us this evening for the Measure G informational meeting! Did you know that over the last 11 years, Measure G has funded:

📌 Over $126M in police services and over $22M in fire services, plus $31.8M in public safety projects
📌 Over $35.7M in Public Works services, plus $10.5M in street and sidewalk repairs, $5.7M in traffic safety projects, and $5.7M in infrastructure projects
📌 $27.3M in Library & Community Services, plus $4.4M in parks and recreation

This November, voters will consider whether to continue this local funding source without increasing the tax rate.

Every day in Salinas, essential services are working quietly in the background responding to emergencies, maintaining streets, and keeping neighborhoods safe.

💡 "A penny for your thoughts?" 💡 Will you take a few minutes to share your thoughts on Measure G? Measure G is an existing 1 cent sales tax that has helped fund City services and projects for more than a decade. This year, the City will be taking a careful, transparent look at its future as the City Council evaluates whether to place the renewal of Measure G on the November 2026 ballot.

Youth Cadet Program – Information Sessions:
The Salinas Police Department invites youth ages 14–20 to learn about our Youth Cadet Program. Meet current Cadets and speak with SPD officers and staff about this volunteer opportunity.
