The Wicomico County 21st Century Community Learning Centers STARS: MAST, STEP UP and Project MOVE programs are dedicated to providing academic engagement, hands-on project based learning, and enrichment activities for students after school. Students work on projects discovering rockets, nutrition and health, food chemistry, EiE kits, weather and more while getting enrichment through community part

ners, math manipulatives, art integration, creative quickfires, teambuilding, and active academics. STEP UP provides high school students the opportunity for credit recovering, tutoring and secondary assessment preparation. Student chosen enrichment opportunities are robotics, cooking, HIIT, horticulture, tech ed, music, art, film, dance and more! Project MOVE focuses on the healthy development of middle school youth through nutrition and healthy lifetstyle project based learning and recreation enrichment, while promoting positive physical, emotional and social well being. Students learn about nutrition while cooking healthy foods and working on hands-on projects, and participate in 1 hour of recreation every day through teambuilding, free recreation, student choice activities and field trips to the YMCA and local community organizations.
