Mark your calendars! Next Thursday, January 22nd, will be the next Preschool Playgroup at the Paul S. Sarbanes Library. We do hope you'll bring your little ones by for a fun time. A full description of the event is below!

At a Glance:
For ages 3–5 and their caregivers, this playgroup encourages creativity, imagination, and early socialization through free play and social interaction. Meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month (and the fifth, when it happens).

Preschool Playgroup is a welcoming environment that is perfect for young children to explore, learn, and build social skills through play with their peers. This free program is open to all — no registration required. We look forward to seeing you and your little ones for a morning of play and discovery!

Mark your calendars, everyone! Next Wednesday, January 21, will be the next session of Adult Yoga with Soul Yoga. Learn the basics of yoga and how it can help you with Lauren Gilmore.

Come join Soul Yoga's instructor Lauren Gilmore for a free adult yoga class! Participants will learn the fundamentals of yoga while exploring how it can benefit them. Grab a friend or family member to experience and learn together. Registration is not required, but is recommended.

At a Glance:

For ages 3–5 and their caregivers, this storytime includes longer stories, songs, and creative activities that build school readiness. Meets the first and third Thursday of each month.

More Info:

Preschool Storytime explores new themes through storytelling, songs, and vocabulary-building activities that spark imagination and strengthen comprehension. Children gain confidence, focus, and social skills as they prepare for kindergarten. This free program is open to all — no registration required.

Children under 8 must be monitored by a guardian who is at least 13 years old to assure the safety and behavior of that child. Children ages 8 and older may visit the library independently provided they are able to care for themselves and are able to understand and follow the Library’s Behavior Guidelines.

Did you know that the Paul S. Sarbanes Library has lot of events for teens? One of the most popular is Teen Tuesdays, the next meeting of which will be next Tuesday, January 20. We hope to see you there.

Every Tuesday is teen time at the library! Stop by the STEAM Studio after school to unwind, create, and connect with other teens. One week you might dive into a hands-on craft or a STEAM challenge, the next you might play video games, or join a Teen Action Board meeting to help plan future programs and make your voice heard. No matter the week, you’ll find something new to try and a space designed just for you.

It's a very fun-filled week at Wicomico Public Library. Both the Centre Library and the Paul S. Sarbanes Library are chock full of programs for kids this week, so we hope you'll bring your little ones to one of our many great events!
