Last week members of the Salisbury Police Department were able to complete their semiannual Fi****ms Training and required Qualifications. Officers were able to train vital skills to improve officer safety, accurate return of fire, transitions, medical aid and decision making techniques along with a friendly Top Shot course competition to end the day!

Thank you for Country Pond Fish & Game Club in Newton, NH for allowing us to use their facility for these important required department trainings!

Today, on National Peace Officers Memorial Day, we paused to honor and remember the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

All of our unions were in attendance for a brief ceremony lead by Sgt. James Leavitt. Chief Thomas Fowler, as well as Salisbury Selectman, Mike Colburn also said a few words.

During National Police Week, we are also reminded of the sacrifices made each day by the men and women who continue to serve and protect our communities with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.

As we reflect on the meaning of this day, we ask our community to join us in remembering the fallen, supporting the surviving families and coworkers they left behind, and recognizing all those who wear the badge and answer the call to serve others.

In working towards the new rotary, you will notice a temporary, new traffic pattern in the area of Toll Rd and Lafayette Road. You will not be able to travel through the original traffic lights there. There’s now a cut through, with a traffic light to get you on your original path.
Lines have been painted on the roadway. Please pay attention to these and drive carefully.
