This is a big win for working families across Delmarva! The Delaware Supreme Court unanimously ruled in favor of offshore wind, advancing a critical piece of the project.

For years, people have watched their electric bills climb while politicians argued and energy companies passed costs on to consumers. Meanwhile, the Shore has been left behind in terms of major investment and economic opportunity. This project helps change that.

Offshore wind will bring new power onto the grid, help strengthen energy reliability, create thousands of jobs, and invest hundreds of millions of dollars into our community. This results in more opportunities for local workers, stronger infrastructure, and a future in which the Eastern Shore helps power the Mid-Atlantic rather tha n being left on the sidelines.

The future of the Shore should be built by the people who live here, work here, and raise their families here not special interest funded by oil and gas companies. That’s exactly what we’re fighting for.

This weekend has been a fast start for the petition drive to save collective bargaining and binding arbitration protections in Salisbury.

In just a day and a half, hundreds of Salisbury residents have already signed the petition, and volunteers have been out across the city talking to voters about what is at stake.

Shore Progress is proud to stand with our first responders, city workers, and the unions that represent them. These are the people who keep our city running every day, and they deserve a voice on the job.

We encourage every Shore Progress member who lives within Salisbury city limits. If everyone does their part, we can give the people of Salisbury the opportunity to make the final decision at the ballot box.

Over the coming weeks, we will continue joining petition-collection efforts through knocking on doors and helping gather the signatures needed to qualify this referendum.

The fight is just beginning, but the community’s response has been incredible. Let’s keep the momentum going. Together, we can protect collective bargaining and let the voters decide.

🚨 The Petition Drive Starts Saturday! 🚨

On Monday night, corrupt politicians voted to strip collective bargaining and binding arbitration protections from Salisbury’s city workers, firefighters, and police officers.

Now it’s our turn. Starting Saturday, we will begin collecting signatures to put this issue on the ballot so the people of Salisbury can decide for themselves.

Join us this Saturday, May 30:
Cannon Building 106 N. Circle Ave., Salisbury

12:00 PM - Volunteer Training
1:00 PM - Canvassing & Petition Collection

Whether you want to collect signatures, knock doors, or simply sign the petition, we need your help.

If you are a registered voter who lives in Salisbury and want to sign the petition but cannot make it downtown, fill out our interest form and we’ll come to you:

Important: Filling out the interest form does NOT count as signing the petition. A physical signature is required under the City Charter.

We have just 40 days to collect just over 3,000 of signatures. This campaign will only succeed if working people, first responders, city workers, retirees, families, and neighbors come together.

The Progressive movement and the Labor movement have always gone hand in hand. Both were built on the simple belief that working people deserve dignity, fair wages, and a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.

The middle class was not handed to us. It was built by workers standing together and unions fighting for better pay, safer workplaces, weekends, overtime protections, healthcare, and retirement security.

Tonight, we are asking our community to stand with the public servants who sacrifice every day to keep Salisbury safe and moving forward. These are our neighbors, our friends, and the people who answer the call when we need them most.

Join us tonight. Stand with our city workers and first responders. Make your voice heard.

If the City Council moves forward with this reckless attack on collective bargaining and binding arbitration, be ready to sign the petition to let the voters of Salisbury have the final say.
