Please welcome to the WSW Staff Shakeera Reid, who will serve as the organization's Event Coordinator! 🤗

In this role, Shakeera will help plan and coordinate WSW events that bring our community together, raise critical funds for local breast cancer Survivors, and help further WSW's mission across Delmarva.

Originally from Miami, Florida, Shakeera brings a passion for creativity, community engagement, and building meaningful connections. Her interest in joining WSW is also deeply personal, having seen firsthand the impact breast cancer can have on someone's life. That experience has inspired her commitment to supporting Survivors and giving back through a mission she truly believes in.

We are so excited to have Shakeera on board and can't wait to see the ideas, energy, and compassion she brings to WSW. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by the office and say hello! 👋💕

We wanted to give a huge shoutout to WSW Board Member and Easton Support Group Facilitator, Staci Jelley, for organizing incredible experiences for breast cancer Survivors, such as this special meeting held at Campbell Lane Farms just outside of Preston, MD. Survivors had the opportunity to spend time with the farm’s donkeys, receiving comfort and emotional support from some sweet, furry friends. Staci truly has a heart of gold and continuously goes above and beyond to create meaningful moments and supportive spaces for our Talbot County breast cancer Survivor community 💕

Additionally, we sincerely thank Campbells Lane Farm and owner Anne Altvater for welcoming one of our support groups to the farm and opening the door to a setting that may be a little outside the box, but incredibly healing. Experiences like this give Survivors a chance to connect, unwind, and decompress in a peaceful environment.

A big thank you as well to Lotus Oncology Hematology for always helping spread the word about WSW. Dr. Gupta continues to support our mission and help bring awareness to the meaningful work being done for local breast cancer Survivors across Delmarva, and we appreciate that support more than words can express ❣️

Lastly, thank you to Star Democrat for featuring this special story and helping shine a light on breast cancer, survivorship, and the people whose lives are impacted by it.

PRESTON — For Staci Jelley, breast cancer treatment was all of the usual words: scary, expensive, terrible. But none of those words are the first one she’d use to describe

Last Wednesday, WSW Staff attended the Soroptimist International Of Salisbury MD Annual Awards Banquet at Dove Pointe! WSW PR & Marketing Coordinator, Raven Cook, and Mentoring Coordinator, Aliyah Frolich, attended the event, and accepted a Community Service Project Award on behalf of the organization. It was a wonderful evening filled with connection, laughter, delicious food, and the privilege of hearing from some of the most inspiring women and organizations on the Eastern Shore.

We sincerely thank the Soroptimist of Salisbury group for recognizing us yet again and for being such loyal supporters of our mission to provide awareness, education, and support to all those who are affected by breast cancer. The services and support we provide is all in thanks to our strong community partnerships, such as ours with Soroptimist of Salisbury 💙🤍
