We're officially TWO MONTHS AWAY from WSW's 25th Annual Walk for Awareness, and we can't wait to celebrate this incredible milestone with all of you! 🎉

For 25 years, this Walk has brought our community together to celebrate Survivors, remember loved ones, honor those currently in treatment, and raise awareness that no one has to face breast cancer alone. Every step we take is for the incredible individuals and families we serve across the Eastern Shore 💕

Whether you're walking as a Survivor, alongside someone you love, or simply to show your support, we'd love to have you join us!

💗 Happy National Nonprofit Day! 💗

Today is a day to celebrate the organizations working every day to make a difference in their communities. For us, it's also a chance to celebrate the people who make Women Supporting Women possible: our Survivors, supporters, volunteers, donors, community partners, local businesses, and everyone who has ever shown up for WSW.

Because of this incredible community, Women Supporting Women is able to provide FREE services, support, and education to individuals on their breast cancer journey and their loved ones. Our services include Newly-Diagnosed Survivor Tote Bags, wigs and head coverings, prostheses, bras, lift chair rentals, Piglet and Seatbelt Pillows, monthly support groups, mentoring, nutrition classes, educational programs, and so much more. None of this happens without a community that believes in showing up 💕

If you've ever donated, attended an event, volunteered, shared one of our posts, purchased a raffle ticket, brought a friend to an event, donated an item, or simply told someone about WSW, thank you. You are part of what keeps these services free.

And as we head toward Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there are lots of ways to continue supporting WSW if you'd like to get involved:

If you missed TidalHealth's Mobile Mammography Unit at the WSW Office in July, don't worry because it returns to the office on Wednesday, September 23rd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Preventative breast health has never been easier or more convenient!

If you're 40 or older and in need of your annual mammogram, register today! To sign up for an appointment on the Mammography Unit, click the link below and fill out the short registration form. A member of the TidalHealth Mobile Mammography Team will reach out to you to verify information and provide appointment details.

The Mammography Van is equipped with the newest 3D imaging technology and a team of expert technologists. The unit is comfortable, quiet, and efficient, boasting quick 15-minute appointments. Best yet, most insurances are accepted and financial assistance is available for those who qualify!

⚠️ Please note that WSW's Easton Support Group, initially supposed to meet this evening, has been postponed to Thursday, August 27th.

The group will continue to meet at its normal time and location, with guest speaker Kia McKinney! Kia will speak with the group about positive coping mechanisms through the breast cancer journey and answer questions attendees may have.

📸💗 HELP US WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE! 💗📸

For 25 years, our Walk for Awareness has brought Survivors, families, friends, teams, volunteers, and supporters together for thousands of steps, countless memories, and so many special moments. And for our 25th Annual Walk, we wanted to celebrate all of those memories in a special way!

We're creating a "Walk Down Memory Lane" along a portion of this year's Walk route, featuring photos from the past 24 Walks for Awareness. We're hoping to fill it with the Survivors, teams, smiles, silly moments, memories, and milestones that have made this event so special over the years. And we need YOUR help! 👀📸

Do you have any old photos from a Walk for Awareness? Maybe you were part of a team, walked alongside a loved one, volunteered, celebrated a Survivor, or just captured a fun moment along the way; we want to see it!!!

📸 Digital photos: Email them to [email protected]
🖼️ Physical photos: Stop by the WSW Office and we'll be happy to scan them for you! You can also scan them yourself and email the digital copy to us, if you're able.

Photos from ANY and ALL of our past 24 Walks are welcome! Whether your photo is from our very first Walk or last year's Walk, we would love to see what memories you have!

Our "Walk Down Memory Lane" will be designed as a timeline featuring photos, years, team names, and other relevant information to help tell the story of 24 incredible Walks leading up to our 25th.

Survivor and Supporter T-Shirts are BACK for WSW's 25th Annual Walk for Awareness! 🤩👕

We've heard your requests over the past few years and decided to bring back Survivor and Supporter T-shirts for the Walk's 25th anniversary! When registering either online or with a trifold, attendees will have the choice to select a "Survivor" (pink) or "Supporter" (teal) shirt. To receive your complimentary shirt with $30 registration, attendees MUST be registered and provide payment no later than Friday, October 2nd at 3:00 PM, NO EXCEPTIONS! ⚠️
