Our Congressman Addison McDowell claims he's protecting students by attacking public schools in our district.

Instead of fighting for smaller class sizes, higher teacher pay, safer school buildings, or affordable school meals, he's spending his time amplifying investigations about where a transgender kid uses the locker room. Maybe Congress should be spending its time doing something productive, like helping schools succeed instead of turning our kids into campaign talking points? (I guess that's just us, though.)

He's just weird, man.

Tonight's turnout for the Bradshaw-China Grove-Landis precinct meeting was great! Ultimately, over 40 folks showed up to hear our candidate for Congress, Cyril Jefferson, speak - we can't wait to see and hear more!

On Tuesday, June 2, you can hear from High Point Mayor and candidate for US House of Representatives Cyril Jefferson . Open to all residents of Rowan County, hosts for the event are Rowan County Democratic organized precincts Bradshaw, China Grove, and Landis. You do not have to be a registered Democratic or live in these precincts to attend this informative meeting.

Cyril is running to represent North Carolina's 6th district, which includes all of Rowan, Davidson, and Davie counties, and parts of Guilford, Cabarrus, and Forsyth counties.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is continuing his discriminatory campaign to remake the U.S. military in his image. Last month, a list of nearly two dozen one-star promotions included no women and only two nonwhite officers.

This latest reporting is sure to ruffle feathers at the Pentagon, where Hegseth has lashed out at the press and spiraled about leaks. The DOD officially banned journalists from the Pentagon’s press office Monday, declaring it a “classified space.”

A new report confirms that a recent, conspicuously white and male promotion list was no accident.

Somehow there's always urgency when it comes to expensive projects and political photo opportunities, though - just look at the Reflecting Pool. Our government should be working for the people paying the bills, not just the guy who 'has a pool guy for that project'.
